Job Summary 

Real Chemistry is looking for a Director, Social Media Insights to join our growing team! 

Real Chemistry Analytics enables smarter decision-making through the power of data, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and actionable insights. Our teams help clients understand audience behavior, measure performance, uncover growth opportunities, and optimize business outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem. By combining healthcare expertise with data science, measurement, and strategic consulting, we help clients transform complex information into meaningful actions that drive impact for brands, healthcare professionals, and patients. 

The Director, Social Intelligence and Insights role is primarily responsible for leading large scale social media listening and audience analytics engagements with a set of Real Chemistry’s top clients. This individual will work within the Integrated Intelligence team and be a business lead, team builder, and client relationship partner responsible for ensuring efficient delivery and customer experience that meets their goals and moves their business forward. 

The successful candidate must collaborate effectively with other team members, have the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and consistently demonstrate analytical and interpretive skills with proficiency in uncovering insights from data.

This role can be remote within the United States or based in any of our U.S. office locations, including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Lambertville, NJ, San Francisco, or Carmel, IN. 

 What you’ll do: 

  • Be the lead on groundbreaking social media intelligence and insights projects, there to strategically guide the team on method, approach, dataset, and client relations.
  • Be a core member within an integrated agency team, with members from all functions across the Real Chemistry agency network.
  • Track and stay involved in the execution of projects/results, including guiding team members on how to turn data into insights, crafting strategic recommendations, and delivering the insights to our client.
  • Get “in the weeds” with the project team on larger, sophisticated projects, ensuring nuances in the data are being represented and commanding a solid understanding of the insights when presented to clients.
  • Help lead a large book of Integrated Intelligence business in a financially prudent and proactive manner, advancing potential risks and challenges to Senior Leaders as appropriate 
  • Organically grow existing client business into new engagements or secure renewals; identify new revenue opportunities and develop proposals in partnership with Senior Leaders.
  • Exhibit leadership within team, by instilling a culture of cohesion, collaboration, learning, development, and passion towards the work we do.
  • Make research and insights happen: Find operational efficiencies and drive them forward. Collaborate with your team members so that projects get done well and right: on time, on budget and on strategy for the client.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through our collective team greatness. Become a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their big picture strategy and day to day needs.

What you should have:  

  • 8+ years of experience with majority in at least one of the following areas: healthcare/pharmaceutical marketing/PR/advertising, strategic planning, digital/social strategy, digital/social analytics, social listening, primary/syndicated research, or account management. Agency experience strongly preferred, due to specific, expected client mix for this role. 
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including handling timelines, budgets, and expectations for multiple deliverables. 
  • Deep understanding and experience with social media listening and measurement, and comfort working with data from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok, including familiarity with platforms such as Brandwatch, Quid, Meltwater or Muck Rack. 
  • Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. 
  • Experience with multi-modal research approaches, using novel data sets and triangulating across methodologies to deliver impact.
  • High understanding and passion for the pharma/healthcare/life sciences sector.
  • A passion for telling stories motivated by data and insights, bringing creativity to analytics, and merging art and science, qual and quant. 
  • Proven track record to drive a team to develop high quality work in a variety of client situations, setting the standard for delivering value and making a positive impact on our clients and their customers. 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a hunger to be the best. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle problems. 

 

Pay Range: $95,000 - $1350,000 

The anticipated salary range for this position is listed above. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and internal parity.
