Global Procurement Operations Senior Manager
DDN· Spain·
This is an incredible opportunity to join a company that has been at the forefront of AI and high-performance data storage innovation for over two decades. DataDirect Networks (DDN) is a global leader in AI and multi-cloud data management at scale, helping customers run some of the world’s most demanding AI and data-intensive environments.
We are looking for a process-oriented Global Procurement Operations Senior Manager to build our purchasing infrastructure from scratch. Currently, our buying process is manual and decentralized. You will be the architect of our Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle—implementing the tools, workflows, and policies that allow DDN to scale efficiently.
This role is 50% Systems Implementation, 30% Policy Design, and 20% SaaS License Administration.
What you’ll do
System Implementation: Support the rollout of our first Procurement platform (e.g. Workday). You will be the "Admin" and internal expert for this tool.
Workflow Engineering: Support and help create the "Internal Intake" process. You’ll help define how a request moves from a "need" in Slack/Email to an approved Purchase Order (PO).
SaaS Operations: Manage the technical side of our software stack. This includes tracking license utilization (e.g., "We pay for 100 seats but only use 60") and managing the "Master Renewal Calendar."
Data Integrity: Clean up our Vendor Master Data. You’ll ensure every vendor has a signed W-9, correct payment terms, and a security clearance on file.
The "Procurement Help Desk": Act as the internal point of contact for employees who are confused about how to get a contract signed or an invoice paid.
Compliance & Audit: Build the "Paper Trail." Ensure that every dollar spent is backed by an approval that would pass a financial audit.
User Experience Mindset: You believe that for a process to work, it must be easy for the employees. You aim for "frictionless compliance."
What we’re looking for
Experience: 4+ years in Procurement Ops, Purchasing, or FinOps.
Problem Solving: You enjoy "cleaning up" data and find satisfaction in a perfectly organized spreadsheet or database.
Technical Breadth: You understand how an API works (at a high level) to connect procurement tools with Finance and IT systems.
