Lead Data Engineer
Role Overview:
The requirement is for experienced Mainframe Developers to support application development, enhancements, and production support activities on Cigna's transactional platforms.
Primary Skill Requirements:
- Mainframe – 60% (Core development and platform support)
- ETL – 30% (Data movement and integration)
- SQL – 10% (Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on experience)
Technical Environment:
- Mainframe platform
- Transactional systems
- PostgreSQL and other databases
- ETL processes
- SQL for reporting and data validation
Key Responsibilities:
- Application development and enhancement on Mainframe platform.
- Work on data movement from Mainframe to PostgreSQL/SQL databases.
- Develop and support ETL processes.
- Perform reporting and data-related activities.
- Provide production support, including participation in on-call rotation.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong Mainframe development experience.
- Hands-on SQL knowledge.
- ETL development/support experience.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Production support and on-call support experience.
